Primer

Primer is the general term for a substance used to make a material suitable for painting. Using primer will also increase the durability and longevity of the paint job. Paint will not stick to all materials and other materials may absorb all the moisture in paint, causing the paint to flake off.

Woods, metals, plastics and fabrics all benefit from priming.
